As expected. Made if plastic but reasonable thickness for small items. Not for a drink or fragile items or using as a table on which to write. Good for remotes, decorative item, craft handtools. It has a lip that fits over the tv or other surface and a lip on the other that keeps items from sliding or bouncing off [could go off the end, just not the long lip. The legs advance a click at a time once loosemed. The trickiest part is getting the 2 legs at tge same angle. Arrived in a reasonable time given all teh confusion over tariffs. Im pleased!
